- This software is so cheap, how do I know it is legal?
Before purchasing software online it is wise to check your suppliers references/testimonials. Software4Schools.ca (parent to Software4Students.ca) is also listed on Adobe's website as an authorized educational reseller. Visit http://partners.adobe.com/resellerfinder/na/education.jsp and select our home province of BC (we ship to all provinces) to check for yourself.
- Can I use Student and Teacher Edition products commercially?
Yes, Student and Teacher Edition products can be used commercially.
- Are Student and Teacher Editions the same as the commercial products?
Yes. Adobe Student and Teacher Editions are the same full versions of the commercial software. The software may be used only on a privately owned computer.
- Who actually purchases the software, students, parents, schools?
- Students, over 18 year of age that are attending an accredited primary or secondary school, university, or college in Canada.
- Parents, for their children that attend an accredited primary or secondary school, university, or college in Canada
- Teachers and staff, for personal use by teachers, administrators, and school staff on their personally owned computers.
Note: You may purchase only one license of any Adobe education product per academic year. You can purchase Photoshop CS5 + Lightroom + Acrobat, you can NOT purchase two copies of the same title per academic year.
- When do I have to prove my/the end users academic status?
Most publishers (including Adobe Systems and Nuance) use a third party company for eligibility verification. We ship your software immediately on the understanding you are an educational end user as detailed in two above. When the software arrives, open the package and locate your "Product Code", visit the URL found next to the product code and submit your ID. You can install the software immediately and use it for up to 30 days while you wait for your serial number to be issued. You can visit the verification site at any time, https://www.identit-e.com/default/index/adobe however you can't apply for your serial number until your product is physically in your possession.

Customers ordering products from these publishers will be contacted within 24 hours of placing their order and will be required to provide Appropriate Identification prior to their order shipping. - How long does it take to get the serial number after I prove my academic status?
You can expect a response within two business days after receipt of your proof of eligibility.
- What is considered "Appropriate Identification"?
- School name
- Faculty/student name
- "Current"* enrollment/employment date
- School transcript indicating name of school, student, and "current"* date
- School tuition bill indicating name of school, student, and "current"* date
- Report card indicating name of school, student, and "current"* date
- Faculty or staff: A "current" paycheck stub
- Faculty or staff: A letter from the registrar of the educational entity confirming your "current"* employment
Option 1: A photocopy of your school ID. Before submitting the ID, you can cross out any sensitive information, such as a social security number or driver's license number. The school ID must contain the following items:

Shipping and handling varies based on the products ordered, nearly ALL orders receive a flat $10 shipping charge, you can always confirm your shipping cost before check out. Add your product(s) to the cart, click "Checkout" and enter your shipping address, the system will confirm the shipping charge at this time, based on your location and total order size.
- May a parent or guardian use the software purchased through this program for commercial purposes?
No. Software purchases through our student/teacher store are for student and teacher use only.
- How many installs can I make with each purchase?
You can install and use the software on a primary and secondary computer (two installs) of the same platform for the exclusive use of the same individual. You may not run the software simultaneously on both the primary and secondary computers.
